Civil Rights Equality

We need to understand why issues sometimes dismissed as identity politics are relevant to our society as a whole—why women’s health issues are public health issues; why LGBT rights are human rights.

The fact is, when we make it a point to protect the most vulnerable people in our community—especially our working class families and our senior citizens—we strengthen legal protections for society as a whole.
