It is important to do everything possible to support continued access to affordable health insurance—so that getting sick doesn’t have to mean losing everything. 

I also believe that we need to address gun violence as the public health epidemic that it is. And I am in favor of legalizing, regulating, and taxing the sale of marijuana to adults. Some of this revenue can then be used to help us address the growing opioid crisis in our state. We should treat drug addicts not as criminals, but as people who need medical help.
